Cookie policy
Last updated: 4 November 2026
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Local storage works in a similar way. This page lists what consortiumcollection.com uses, and you decide on anything that isn’t needed for the site to work.
Always on
These are strictly necessary, so the law does not ask for your consent to them (LSSI-CE, article 22.2):
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
cc-consent (local storage, not a cookie) | Consortium Collection | Remembers your choice about cookies | 12 months |
cc-intro (local storage, not a cookie) | Consortium Collection | Remembers that you have seen the opening animation, so it doesn’t play on every page | Until you close the tab |
cc_preview | Consortium Collection | On our preview sites only: remembers that you entered the preview password | 30 days |
cc_team | Consortium Collection | On our own team’s devices only, set when they sign in to our systems: keeps our own visits out of the figures | 1 year |
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, also counts page views for us with its Web Analytics. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.
Only if you say yes
Nothing here runs until you accept it in the cookie banner. If you refuse, it doesn’t load at all.
| Tool | Cookies | What it does | Type | How long |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics | _ga, _ga_* | Counts visits and shows how the site is used | Analytics | Up to 2 years |
| Microsoft Clarity | _clck, _clsk, and _cltk in session storage | Records how the site is used, as recordings and heatmaps, with anything you type hidden. _clck recognises the same browser on a later visit; _clsk joins the pages of one visit into one recording; _cltk tells browser tabs apart | Analytics | _clck 1 year, _clsk 1 day, _cltk until you close the tab |
| Microsoft | CLID, MUID, MR, SM, ANONCHK (on Microsoft’s own domains) | May be set by Clarity’s script. CLID and MUID identify the browser across sites that use Microsoft’s services; the others manage those two. We tell Clarity that storage for advertising is refused | Analytics | Set by Microsoft; its cookie page doesn’t say how long |
| Consortium Collection | cc-visitor, cc-session (local storage, not cookies) | A random id for this browser and one for this visit, under which we keep our own record of the pages and properties viewed on this site, what was searched and what was opened. Never what you type into a form | Analytics | Until your choice runs out after 12 months, or until you take it back |
| Google Ads | _gcl_au, _gcl_aw | Measures which of our ads lead to enquiries, and lets us show you relevant ones. With this yes, groups of visitors from Google Analytics can be used for our ads, and if you send us an enquiry we tell Google which ad click led to it: the click’s identifier, not your name, email or phone | Advertising | 90 days |
| Meta (Facebook and Instagram) | _fbp, _fbc | Would measure our ads there and let us show you relevant ones. Not switched on yet | Advertising | 90 days |
| Consortium Collection | cc-attribution (local storage, not a cookie) | Keeps the advertisement or campaign that brought you here, so an enquiry can be traced back to it | Advertising | 90 days |
| Consortium Collection | cc-ad-consent (local storage, not a cookie) | A random id for your yes to advertising. It goes with an enquiry, so that if you take the yes back, our client records hear about it | Advertising | Until your choice runs out after 12 months, or until you take it back |
Changing your mind
Open your cookie settings to change your choice at any time; the link is also at the foot of every page. If you take back a yes to counting visits, we delete our own record of your visits and the id goes from your browser. If you take back a yes to advertising, our client records hear about it, so nothing more goes to Google about any enquiry you sent us, and the id goes from your browser. In any browser you can also block or delete cookies in its settings.
